Poetry through Matter

Two kinds of material, of different, opposing tensions and densities, create a dialogue. The grooves of the cardboard continue those of the tire, thereby creating beautiful effects of mimicry. Fitting perfectly into the hollows of the curves, the different intertwined sculptural masses lose their autonomy. The black and the raw fuse forever, forming a couple made up of inseparable yet opposing forms like in a yin and yang aesthetic.

To better capture life’s resources, Silvia Bauer has petrified trivial scraps, forcing us to look at them. She has breathed new life into them giving them a new identity.
